The FS Developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built the Notes Gate – Offline Notebook app (the “Service”) as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by The FS Developer at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
1. Data Collection and Use
Notes Gate is a strictly offline application. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your personal data, notes, or usage metrics with any external servers, third parties, or cloud services.
All data created within the app remains exclusively on your personal device. This includes:
- Notes Data: Any text, drawings, or checkbox lists you create.
- Website Bookmarks: URLs and website titles you save (an optional feature enabled via settings).
- Backup Files: The JSON backup data generated by the app.
2. Local Backup & Restore Feature
The app provides a manual backup and restore feature to help you safeguard your notes.
- When you generate a backup, the app compiles your data into a local JSON format string.
- This data is never uploaded to the internet or synced to any cloud storage by us.
- It is solely your responsibility to copy, save, and store this JSON text securely on your device or personal storage. Restoring the data is also done manually by pasting the local text back into the app.
3. Permissions
To function properly, the app may request certain device permissions (such as local storage access) solely for the purpose of saving your drawings or allowing you to manage your local backup files. We do not use these permissions to monitor, collect, or transmit any data off your device.
4. Third-Party Services and Analytics
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking tools, or advertising frameworks (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics) that collect user data. The app is completely ad-free and operates independently of any network connection.
5. Security
We value your trust in using our app. Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your notes depends on the security of your device itself. We recommend keeping your device secured with a password, PIN, or biometric lock to protect your local data from unauthorized physical access.
6. Children’s Privacy
Since our app does not collect any personal information or connect to the internet, it is completely safe for children of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under 13.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time if new features are added. However, our core commitment to keeping this app 100% offline and privacy-focused will not change. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
